Automate the audit trail. Every manual compliance step is a step that will be skipped under deadline pressure. Embed evidence collection into CI/CD pipelines and toolchain integrations so that compliance data is a byproduct of delivery, not a separate activity.

Apply risk-proportionate controls. Not every AI interaction carries the same risk. A developer using AI to generate a unit test has a different risk profile than one using AI to write authentication logic. Calibrate control intensity to the actual risk level of the activity.
